Happy New Year! 2019 has arrived and we are excited about it. The dawning of a new day, new month, and new year brings hope, joy, and expectation.
My challenge for you is start with the end in mind. Vision is the ability for your mind to see the end of something before it begins. So, I raise the question: Who will you be on December 31, 2019?
Most of us see what we will do, earn, buy, or attain. These things are important, however who you need to be to maintain what you receive is more important. Your character, work ethic, beliefs, actions, and thoughts must be rooted in the very values of those recorded in scripture. You must be honest, loving, giving, kind, forgiving, and self-controlled. Your mind must continuously be renewed, and your will surrendered to Christ.
This year, you will have the liberty to become who God declares you are. Life will present opportunities for you to be chasten, pruned, and shaped into being God’s absolute best. It will be uncomfortable, undesirable and unwelcomed, but James 1:4 encourages us to “Let perseverance finish its work so that [we] may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” When this happens the better version of yourself will manifest and you will end 2019 whole, complete, wise, and lacking nothing spiritually or physically.
Start today, becoming who you really are!
